Cash for Kids Cup 2010
The skills of over 140 footballers were showcased on Sunday at SoccerWorld as they competed to lift the first ever Cash for Kids 5 a-side tournament cup. Teams from all over Tayside entered the competition and were joined by a Radio Tay squad and an extra special Tay Legends team, coached by Dundee Manager, Jocky Scott.
Players showed determination through the qualifying rounds and the semis saw FC Polonia v The SFA and Burrelton Wanderers v FC Armadillo putting on an impressive show in two very competitive matches.
The final was a close game between FC Polonia and Burrelton Wanderers with only one goal separating the teams at full time and FC Polonia lifting the Cash for Kids cup with a 2-1 victory.
The Legends team boasted former Dundee and Dundee Utd. stars Jocky Scott, Stevie Campbell, Bobby Geddes, Dave Bowman, Barry Smith, Grant Johnson, Ray Farningham and Ray McKinnon. In a very entertaining exhibition match against the Radio Tay team, Alan Smith (Head of News) managed to get four goals passed Bobby Geddes, but the Legends won through with an impressive 8-5 victory.
Jocky Scott presented the cup to winners FC Polonia and medals to the runners-up. To the delight of spectators, the Legends then played a finale match against FC Polonia to finish off the day.
Cash for Kids Co-ordinator, Lynda Curran, said “We are thrilled with today’s event. The support received has been fantastic and I would like to give special thanks to John Reilly for organising the Legends Team, Gwyn Rees at Trophy World for the cup and medals, the Dundee Tangerine Cheerleaders for their display and, of course, to SoccerWorld for making the day possible.”
The team from Tokheim in Dundee added to the day’s success by presenting a cheque for £200, raised by the staff, and this boosted the total sum raised to just under £1,400.

KidzWorld
KidzWorld is the soft play area within SoccerWorld which is approximately 450 sq metres in area size. The soft play area is aimed at providing a service to families with children, from toddlers up to the age of 10 years old. There is also a café area where parents can relax whilst their children play within the soft play area.
Kids Coaching
Junior Kicks is SoccerWorlds exclusive coaching program which runs every Saturday from 10am. Catering for young footballers from the age of 4 right up to 12 year olds. All pitches are fully enclosed and the children are safe under the supervision of SoccerWorlds dedicated Coaching team. Junior Kicks will also hold coaching courses during the school holidays.
Kids Parties

Junior Leagues
SoccerWorld are starting Junior Leagues for Under 12’s, 14’s and 16’s. Fixtures will take place every Sunday morning come rain or shine as all our pitches are fully enclosed and indoor. Games are only £15 so register your team now as spaces are limited.
Sunday League News

All leagues are fully sanctioned and affiliated with the S.F.A and are played to well established SoccerWorld league rules. There are Leagues to suit every standard and if you’re good enough your team could walk away with a full set of trophies at the end of the season.
